| On 26th
January 2008, Higher Education Commission conducted
a grand function in the auditorium of HEC building,
Sector H-9, Islamabad, in which the best University
teacher awards were conferred to the Best teachers of
all public universities of Pakistan.
The awards were conferred for the teachers
of year 2004, 2005 and 2006 by the Chairman HEC honourable
Prof. Dr. Atta ur Rehman. This award is given to one
teacher of the university in a year. The selection is
made on the basis of teaching, research and administration
in which the teaching has the highest weightage and
that is assessed on the basis of evaluation made by
the students. In this function, Prof. Dr. Zafrullah,
Dean Faculty of Telecommunications and Informatics,
Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad Kamal, Department of Civil Engineering
and Prof. Dr. Qaiser uz Zaman Khan, department of Civil
Engineering were awarded the “best teacher award”
for the year 2004, 2005 and 2006 respectively.
