Admission Procedure for PhD

•  Admission and Registration Procedure

a) PhD program shall be open to candidates who have Master's Degree in the relevant engineering discipline recognized by the University.

b) The candidate shall apply for PhD admission to the Director, Advanced Studies Research & Technological Development on prescribed form, who shall forward the case to the Board of Postgraduate Studies. The Board of Postgraduate Studies shall recommend the admission of the student and name of the Supervisor to the Vice-Chancellor for approval.

c) After the approval of the Vice-Chancellor, the Director of Advanced Studies, Research and Technological Development will notify admission of the candidate and appointment of Supervisor.

d) The candidate shall get himself registered as a provisional student within a month of the notification by paying full fees for one year prescribed by the University.

•  Degree Requirements:

The award of PhD degree requires 30 credit hours of Postgraduate course work taken during Masters and Doctoral studies combined and a research thesis.
